Test drive the seller of the used
car.
If you come across a used car or
an inexpensive car while searching that looks promising, call
the seller. Figure out as much as you can about the car on
the phone before you even think of seeing it. You should not waste
your time on a test drive when the car is not up to your standards.
Generally you would find out the
car's condition and history. Many consumers look for first
hand cars that have existing service records and repair receipts.
Some types of questions you can ask
the seller:
-
What's the condition of the car?
-
How many miles it has driven?
-
Is it well equipped? · Are you
the first owner?
-
Was it ever involved in an accident?
-
Do you have existing service
records?
-
What is the reason to sell this
car?
